On the Go!

Ama is crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, and already demonstrating her daredevil side by practicing "No hands" when she's feeling especially brave.  Last night she practiced a few steps with her 'new' stroller.  We are such giddy parents, absolutely amazed by everything she does.

Flexibility

If there's one thing I've learned since I've become a mom, it's that you have to FLEXIBLE.  It's obvious that I don't just mean physically flexible, which is of course, a huge, back-breaking part of being a mom. But overall flexible.  It means that even when you add an hour and a half on to your out-the-door time, you are frequently standing over the kitchen sink cleaning throw-up off your shoulder at that two hour mark.  Or when you plan your Sunday grocery trip down to the exact count of grapes, but walk out with a bag of pretzels and a now, underpriced, pacifier.  For the last 5 months, it's been adjusting to the au-natu-rel, tie-dye clothing we've embraced status-post feedings!  I couldn't resist sharing the process. ME? Why yes, I'm ready for the beach We rubbed our baby girl head to toe in sunscreen, packed more sunscreen, hats, and a canopy and headed to the beach to spend "a day in the sun."   "This is interesting" Let's see... Oh yes! Just as I suspected.....delicious!! Hang on Poppa, let me get my legs under me On second thought.... Whoa Ahhhhh....    :) It was a great first day at the beach for our family.  The car ride home was a quiet one.  Words were not needed from our three babies to know that they were saying "Thank you."  We look forward to many more!
