Our Angel: Ama Jewels Faucheux

The best day of our lives has now become August 26th 2013, when we welcomed our beautiful, gentle, innocent, little girl into this world. Born at 2:36P.M., measuring 18 3/4 inches and 7 lbs, she is our dream come true! What could be better? Patrick and I arrived at the hospital as husband and wife and left as a family. The immediate joy, love, and protectiveness that we felt have grown with every passing day. And like a Dr. Seuss character, our hearts grew three sizes that day! She is more than I could have expected and will forever be one of the greatest gifts Patrick has given me. Watch out future boyfriends, teachers, or anyone who crosses our little girl wrongly. For I am sharpening my nails daily, ready to scratch out eyes, and Pat's shotgun has never been cleaner. Welcome to the world our Beautiful Ama. You have stolen our hearts and made them your own.

Birthday!!!

We are ready for her!!! These are her receiving hat and booties
given to us by the "pink ladies" at the hospital.
We had wonderful nurses helping to bring our Ama into the world.
It was such a special experience.

I look back on this picture and feel so naïve to the life changing experience ahead of me.
I had no idea what to expect. I was about to experience a love like no other, with my love, and
forever have a greater respect for my own parents.

Our Family

The nurses set up great skin-on-skin time with Ama and Daddy. Pat was in heaven!!

Let the staring begin....

Thank goodness our Meghan was there. With her incredible background in anything
babies, she was such a big help to all of us. And what loving connection she already has with her niece!
