An AMAzing aMEREKin Life

Meet the newest member of our family, Elam.  A sweet, loving, velvet eared, thick-skulled, hound dog.  Found helplessly running along the road, he quickly traveled right into our hearts.  Although chewed blinds, carpets, and ornamental birds were not on my list of chores with a new baby on my hands, the look of appreciation in Elam's eyes makes it all worthwhile.  And Emmit sure is in love with him too.  We are now a family of five and life is good!     Our baby girl is a month old and we are in awe at her growth. She has been feeding almost hourly at night in order to grow those strong, healthy bones another 3 inches!!  Packing milk into those adorable cheeks of hers has also added 3lbs to the scale!  She gets stronger every day, holding her head up impressively well and able to look all around.   Joepa calls her 'The Observer' and loves holding her as she takes in this chaotic world.  She is calm and patient, letting out warning squeaks and chirps when she needs something.  She has joined us on several excursions including an afternoon at the Food Truck Invasion in Tradition. She makes everything more fun!  We feel so lucky. Life is GREAT with Ama by our side!!      First stroll through the neighborhood- 5 days old   Game day with Poppa- the first of many more!
